Barbara Bell's acclaimed first novel, Stacking in Rivertown, was purchased and edited in 1999 by Michael Korda, editor-in-chief of Simon & Schuster. It was released in 2000 and subsequently released in Australia and Israel.

The Bull is Blind, Barbara's CD of her songs written from 1999-2000 was released in 2002 and is now available for digital download on CDBaby, Amazon.com, iTunes, and other platforms that sell mp3's. Her CD can be purchased from CDBaby.

Barbara's most recent novel, Line of Battle, has been posted on her website, www.barbarabell.com for a limited time. At this time, you can read the first three chapters.

She is presently working on a new novel and a screenplay and trying to learn social networking skills, at which she failed miserably in high school. At some point, she may get her act together, but really, the chances are next to nil.

In 2006, Barbara and co-director Anna Lorentzon teamed up to create their feature documentary, Graphic Sexual Horror, about the shocking porn website Insex.com. Screening to sold-out audiences at Slamdance in 2009, it went on to screen at HotDocs Toronto, FantasiaFest Montreal, and many film festivals worldwide. Purchased for worldwide digital distribution by Cinetic Rights Management, Graphic Sexual Horror was released in March 2010 on Amazon. However, because of its use of highly controversial content, GSH was removed from Amazon's listings within seven days. Synapse Films purchased Graphic Sexual Horror DVD rights in the summer of 2009 and, after Warner Distribution refused to carry the title, found a new distributor. The DVD of GSH was finally released in August of 2010 and hit the top of independent releases shortly thereafter. Amazon then removed GSH again. The National Coalition Against Censorship (NCAC.org) worked hard to get the title re-listed by August 2011.
